Stephanie Seymour was born July 23, 1968 in San Diego, California. . She got her big break in March 1991 while shooting a sexy spread for Playboy on Florida beach, just four months after having her first child, Dylan, the then 22-year-old graced the cover of Vogue UK.
Seymour's rise, however, began at age 14, when she modeled for local newspapers and department stores in her hometown of San Diego. She entered the Elite Look of the Year contest and got first prize. She walked the runways of Europe for two years and, in 1993, appeared in Playboy's Valentine's issue. In '94, Seymour hit superstardom in two striking photo shoots with famed photographer Richard Avedon for Egöiste and Versace jeans. That year, Paris Match named her Most Beautiful Model. She also began her longstanding link to Victoria's Secret and appeared on the covers of Sports Illustrated, Elle, Self and Vogue. She was in two music video's by Axel Rose including Don't Cry and November Rain. Seymour is the most recognized face in swimsuit and lingerie modeling. |
