Siti Nurhaliza Interview
You have won the Favourite Artist Malaysia at the MTV Asia Awards again! Can you share with us the secret of your success? The secret to my success is to train a lot for the vocals, always believe in myself, being sincere and hardworking. I do keep track of the voting online actually. And I'm really grateful to my fans who voted and supported for me. So what did you do with the award that comes with a DVD player last year? The award is in my display cupboard. I really appreciate the award 'coz it introduced me to the international music industry. As for the DVD player, I uses it to watch DVDs and VCDs all the time! You have won countless awards throughout your career. Is there enough space to display them? Yes! I have one display cupboard in my hometown, Kuala Lipis and one in Keramat, K.L. And there's another one in my office! What's a typical day of Siti Nurhaliza like? If it's a show day, I'll be rehearsing and sound checking for about two hours. If it's a regular day, I will go window shopping or just hang around with my little cousins, nephews and nieces at home. And if I have commitments for a full scale concert tour, I'll be training and rehearsing all day one month before the actual show. What are you plans for 2003? I will be working on my tour concert in Malaysia and Indonesia. Coming soon I will be releasing my new album of pop songs, which will probably be released in March. Is that true that you are currently brushing up on your English for an English album? [Laughs] I really hope I can come out with an English album. But I have to learn how to speak English fluently first. So, in two to three years time maybe! |
