Gillian was born 9th August 1968 (star sign LEO) To Rosemary & Edward Anderson at St Mary of Nazareth Hospital, Cook County, Chicago, Illinois. Gillian has two siblings, A Sister Zoč and a Brother Aaron.

She lived in Puerto Rico, and then in London's Crouch End and Harringay. At age eleven she moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she graduated from City High in Grand Rapids in 1986. Gillian then moved to Chicago and attended the Goodman Theater School at DePaul University in Chicago, IL where she obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Gillian also attended a summer programme at the National Theatre of Great Britain at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. She then moved to Chicago where she went to college. Once she gained her BFA, she moved to New York.

Gillian, is 5'2 has blue eyes and currently has red hair. Her natural colour? some sources say Ash Blond but I am convinced it is brown, guess your'll have to ask Gillian to be sure. ;-) Following her divorce from Clyde Klotz, she is now single and lives with their daughter Piper Maru, (born September 25, 1994). The Name Maru in Polynesian means Calm and Gentle, and in Russian means ship.
