Angelica Bridges Interview
UGO: Jim J. Bullock won on Street Smarts. How did you do? Angelica Bridges: I won. I beat Richard Moll [Bull from Night Court]. UGO: Did he come after you? AB: No. He just shook my hand and gave me a hug. UGO: Is he a little scary? AB: No. When I first met him, I didn't put two and two together, because he has hair now. I thought he was just a sweet guy. He was so nice, funny and charming. After they started the show and they kept calling him "Bull," I thought he was just a bully. But then I figured it out. UGO: Were you a big Night Court fan? AB: I watched it here and there. But I wasn't die-hard. Street Smarts was fun to do, because you have to really get inside your opponent's head. What are they going to say? It's not as easy as it looks. Someone that has a really high IQ or is good with trivia may not be good at this show. You have to understand people and what makes them tick. I'm good at figuring people out, so it was easy for me. UGO: So what's it like in Richard Moll's head? AB: I don't know [laughs]. He's such a smart guy. Who knows what he was thinking? I know he thought he was going to win, and I surprised him. I'm the least likely person to win at the game. UGO: I saw you on the cover on FHM magazine with all the other Baywatch women. How did that happen? AB: They shot it at the set of the TV reunion movie we are doing called Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding. UGO: How was it doing the reunion movie? AB: It was awesome, because we shot it in Hawaii. It was quite an honor to do it, see everybody and catch up. It was a complete déjà vu for me, because most of my scenes when I was on the show were with David Hasselhoff, because I was a lieutenant. My character is coming back as a new captain and I replace David Hasselhoff. I call David's character, Mitch, to help us out at the beach. UGO: Besides yourself, who is the best-looking woman in the reunion show? AB: Oh, please, besides myself [laughs]. I think Carmen [Electra]. She's always been my favorite. She's always nice, she's beautiful and talented. UGO: So if you liked girls, you think would hook up with her? AB: You're so funny. Who would it be? UGO: Not a relationship. Just hooking up. AB: I would probably hook up with Carmen. She seems to be the sexiest. UGO: I read you were the matchmaker for the cast of Baywatch. Did you get Carmen together with Dennis Rodman? AB: God, no. I've tried to get Gena [Lee Nolin] with a couple of people I know. I told her that, when she is ready, I've got some guys who would go out with her. The option is there for her. One of my friends, Alicia Rickter, I set up with Mike Piazza, and they're heavily dating right now. I'm really quite the matchmaker. Gena is next in line. UGO: Is your husband [Sheldon Souray, defenseman for the Montreal Canadiens] trying to get all of his hockey buddies hooked up with Baywatch women? AB: No, he probably wants to keep our lives separate [laughs]. I think everyone should be in love. Love is in the air. UGO: How do you keep in such good shape? At your wedding you had baby back ribs, fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and a watermelon station. AB: I love eating greasy soul food. I love good old fattening Southern food. I go to the gym maybe two or three times a week, and I do maybe 20 minutes of cardio on the step glider, then I do low weights for toning. Then I do 500 sit ups. UGO: What was it like doing your pictorial for Playboy? AB: My shoot was very discreet. We did it in Austin, Texas on a ranch. It was just the photographer, myself and our two assistants. There were no video cameras. I felt very comfortable. My shoot was very tame. It was the first time I had done any nudity. UGO: What made you decide to do the pictorial? AB: There's no reason to hide, even if you feel like you don't have a good body. It's human nature for us to be comfortable in our skin. I just reached a point where I was very comfortable with myself. I did it my way. I chose my location and my photographer. Then I also had photo approval. It was such a wonderful opportunity. UGO: Did you go to some parties at Hugh Hefner's house? AB: Oh, yeah. I've been to plenty. My favorite parties are the ones that are on Sunday nights. That's movie night. 25 people have dinner together, including Hef's kids and his close friends, then we all go watch one of the latest movies at his theatre in the house. UGO: Is his harem of blonds there? AB: Sometimes, but Sunday night is not a crazy night. They go to the big parties, but then Sundays are more laid back. They even have popcorn, and it's labeled. Some has salt no butter, others have butter and no salt, another has both and plain. After the movie, it's tea, coffee and cookies. UGO: It's like kindergarten. What was your worst date story? AB: Well, I never really dated much. I usually fall in love with someone and that's it. But one of the times I did date, I was on this silly show called Studs [syndicated dating show from early '90s]. I had to go on two dates. The dates were fun, and then you go on the show and talk about the dates. I was the main chooser. So I went out with two guys, then we went on the show and talked about it. The dating shows have definitely improved since then. UGO: There is no stupider date story than being on Studs. AB: I know. UGO: Is it true you insured your butt for 5 million dollars? AB: No, it's not [laughs]. It came out in some British tabloid. I don't know where it came from. UGO: I would say your butt is worth at least twice that. AB: My little bum is priceless. I'm not in love with my bum, but it is part of me, and I have to take care of it. UGO: If you had to insure a body part, what would it be? AB: Probably my red hair, because it's natural and I wouldn't want anything to happen to it. |
