- Amy Brenneman Amy Brenneman Facts Amy is married to director Brad Silberling. They have one daughter named Charlotte. They met on the set of NYPD. Amy graduated from Harvard with a degree in comparative literature. Amy's mother was one of the first women to graduate from Harvard. She served as a superior court judge, and was the inspiration behind Amy's television series, "Judging Amy." While a student at Harvard, Amy spent a semester abroad in Nepal studying sacred dances. Amy formed the Cornerstone Theater Company during college. The production company traveled to small towns and encouraged the residents to act in classic plays they would produce. Amy was a teacher in Brooklyn until she started acting in 1992. Amy has two brothers. Matthew, her older brother, is a lawyer. Andrew, her younger brother, is an interactive software producer. She is the creator and executive producer of "Judging Amy." |
